Banyan House alcohol and other drugs Recovery Program

Anyone 18 or older who is experiencing drug and or alcohol problems is eligible for Banyan House’s residential recovery program.
Individuals are required to undergo an assessment interview to determine suitability. Once accepted residents must remain drug/alcohol free and adhere to the rules of the community which are no violence, threats or intimidation, gambling, dishonesty or criminal activity, sexual activity with other residents and leaving the premises without permission. Clients may not be accepted into the program if they present a significant risk to the safety of the Banyan House Community or its members, or require a level of medical care or support beyond what Banyan House is able to provide.

Referral
Referrals to Banyan House services from other agencies are very welcome. Referrals can are accepted:
- from the person seeking treatment (self referrals)
- from other organisations or individuals.
- for any type of the programs (i.e. withdrawal, recover or diversionary services)
- for co-management of co-occurring drug and mental health disorders
- verbal or in writing (some referrals, such as for court reports, must be in writing)
How to make a referral
Simply call Banyan House on Intake Team (08) 8942 7400 during business hours to discuss the referral or potential referral with Banyan House intake staff. Banyan House staff will ensure that its service is suitable and the most appropriate for the client.
Written referrals and documentation can be faxed to (08) 8947 1093 or emailed to intake@banyanhouse.org.au.
Each client’s consent and confirmation that they are seeking assistance is required before a referral can be accepted for considered.
